Grace was formed with the vision of providing consulting services to businesses at any stage – startup or acquisition, growth and improvement, and ultimately selling a business.

Kent Garrett CPA MBA, Owner and Managing Member

Kent has broad professional experience in both public accounting and industry. Upon graduation from college, he began his professional career with the Tulsa office of Coopers & Lybrand, working primarily on audits of small businesses. While working in public accounting, he obtained his CPA designation. Since then, and for nearly three decades, he has been employed in, or a consultant to many companies. His tasks and titles have varied and include managerial roles in accounting, corporate financial & strategic planning, budget and model development, business development and due diligence, internal audit, debt compliance, accounting systems design and maintenance, programmer/analyst, and business brokering. His experience includes publicly traded and privately owned companies, and spans many industries, including midstream energy services, electric utilities, manufacturing, construction services, and medical professional services.

Kent is a CPA, with a permit to practice in Oklahoma and in good standing with the Oklahoma Accountancy Board. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Oklahoma Society of CPAs, and the Tulsa Chapter of the OSCPA. He is the chair of the OSCPA Members in Industry Committee, and has participated in the OSCPA Annual Continuing Professional Education Selection Committee.

Kent is a native of Oklahoma, and has lived and worked in Tulsa and surrounding communities since completing his college undergraduate degree. He first graduated from Oklahoma State University, with a B.S. in Business, majoring in Accounting, and later completed the Master of Business Administration program. He also attained an Associate Degree in Computer Programming at Tulsa Junior College (now Tulsa Community College).

Kent is quite active in his church and various civic and non-profit organizations. He is a registered member of The Church of the Madalene. At the Madalene, he is an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, and also serves on the Parish Pastoral Council, the Business and Finance Advisory Committee, and is VP/Treasurer of the Men’s Club. He is a member and currently President of the Board of Directors of TARC – a Tulsa based non-profit organization providing supports, activities and advocacy for persons with developmental disabilities. He is President of his neighborhood homeowners association, with approximately 340 resident members.

Kent and his wife reside in Tulsa. Their older son lives with them, and currently works with A New Leaf, a non-profit organization providing supported employment opportunities and job coaching for persons with developmental disabilities. Their younger son is a U.S. Marine, currently on deployment.
